Taylor Swift's new album: Midnight

Hmm…I don’t know yet. I’m not quite responding to it. But I’m the PP who said it always takes a few listens, so we’ll see.

Obsessed with BEJEWELED right now. 🎶🎶🎶

That and Maroon are the ones I like best. I agree it takes a few listens. My complaint with this album is that each song is too similar. I’d like some variation. Each song should feel distinct, and instead they sort of run together.

PP here. Turns out it’s not my cup of tea. It’s getting great reviews, so maybe it’s me. I admit I love a good catchy melody, and this album doesn’t seem to have many of those. I’ll keep trying, but I much prefer her prior albums.

Seriously I think there’s too much auto tune!

I completely skipped evermore, loved folklore!

I was too! Now onto Karma and Glitch!

My favorites so far are Question, Labyrinth, Snow on the Beach, Bigger than the Whole Sky, and Mastermind. I've been listening to a lot of Folklore lately, so it took a little time to adjust, but now I'm digging it!

I’m jealous! Annoyed at myself that I’m not connecting.

Can I ask you a Question…?

But Bejeweled has no melody, really.

I like the album but i don’t see this as a step forward. Several songs sound like previous material. I wish she’d move on from Antonoff.

She needs better singles. Her Reputation and Lover singles were not the best. Then almost no radio singles from folklore and evermore. Also vigilante shit is crazy good!

I might change my mind after listening more, yet I agree with you on this for now. I felt disappointed by this album.

Yes I’m onto Lavender Haze and Maroon. I agree songs are a little too similar. The ones I’m liking so far give me Reputation vibes (Dancing with Our Hands Tied, Call It What You Want, Dress).

+1

I just posted that a lot of the songs remind me of Reputation with a little bit of Lover.
