Younger people don't believe in the stock market and invest elsewhere like real estate

Valuation is a lot of BS. Look at Trump.

Mixing of concepts here.

You are citing Trump as a reason to not invest in the stock market, but rather real estate? Because of overvaluation?

Oh, dear. What, precisely, do you think Trump's business is?

And how would you prefer corporations to raise capital?

Make a profitable product, earn money and invest as capital.

How do you make a profitable product with no money?

I'm guessing PP wants every company to rely on debt financing. Can't wait to see how expensive products get! PP and their ilk lack knowledge of even the most basic economic and finance concepts. Their vision of the world hasn't existed since the 16th Century.

I am a millennial and so embarrassed by the younger generation. What planet do they live on where they think getting rid of the stock market will benefit anyone?

Move to a remote island in Indonesia if you want to live off the land

I mean, they can't even sit through a commercial, read more than 280 characters or watch a video longer than 90 seconds. these kids are not equipped for the stock market.

Truth.

A friend told me millennials in Portland, OR wanted the government to make the houses cost less in the neighborhoods where they wanted to live. It “wasn’t fair” the houses cost so much.

Anyone who buys real estate should look into whether this RE is new cashflow regardless of your worst market predictions. E.g. that you would be able to rent out this RE and still get some cash for living, after covering the mortgage and some expenses. This principle should apply even to single family home where you plan to live - otherwise you simply leave all your money in the seller's pockets and you would be better off investing elsewhere/stocks.

There are VERY few properties worth investing at the moment and I'm on this market since 2008

It really, really varies by market and past performance is no guarantee of future results (yep, I said it)…but A TON of studies have shown how dramatically the stock market has outperformed real estate over many, many periods. Like a TON ton ton of studies show this. OP is highly uneducated.

The younguns are all into crypto and are chomping at the bit to have crypto replace fiat currency. Fools don't realize that with that model, fractional banking (which pretty much is the reason for the vast global wealth created since its inception) is not possible and will one fine day find out that the company that hosts their precious wallet went out of business. At least the gold bugs have gold nuggets they can chew on when hungry.

One day the young will be in charge and the boomer rigged stock market will be wiped out

HA! How? Eminent domain en masse? I'm sure that would go over well. Socialism has always redistributed property equally.

Can't tell if PP is joking or an idiot.

Both my siblings are Gen Zers. They have Robin Hood accounts. Both wonder if they’ll ever afford to be home owners. One of them owns a bunch of NFTs.

Maybe if said sibling had spent less money buying NFTs and put more of it into something with a long history of providing positive returns, he would have a better chance of being able to afford a home someday.
