What is your 4yo girl dressing as for Halloween?

Pirate captain. We had an Alice in Wonderland theme last year.

OP here. Thanks for all the brainstorming! Based on your suggestions here, as well as what I know about her interests, I think I'll encourage my kid to choose between:

--mermaid
--princess
--wolf
--Pete the Cat

The choosing process will probably take a couple days, but I'll report back!

OP, any of these would be adorable. Definitely let us know what she ends up going as.

I wish her a very Happy Halloween!

My daughter was a witch last year and this year she is being a mummy.

As someone with a kid with disabilities that is totally unable to communicate a costume choice, I just want to say that you are a great mom!!! I love how you are working with her AAC device to support her making her own choices.

OP again. Choosing is *not* going to be a days-long process! I gave my kid four choices this morning, and she quickly gravitated toward wolf, "saying" it multiple times with Pete the Cat mixed in quite a bit, mermaid a few times, and princess not at all. I tried again this afternoon and this evening and got the exact same mix both times.

So, wolf it is!! (When I ask directly if she wants to be a wolf for Halloween, I get a big smile.)

And thanks to the PP with the kind words above. It's so nice when we can find ways for our disabled kids to participate in normal childhood stuff.

Nix the first two. They blatantly and offensively reinforce heteronormative stereotypes.

Bluey, Bingo, or one of the Paw Patrol pups are very popular at this age. GL!

1. Read the thread; the post directly above yours tells you what she picked, and
2. Go away, you are offensive and insufferable.

Agree with others that animals. Princess, unicorn, paw patrol and Encanto will likely be popular

I have a 4 year old and agree with this. Skye from Paw Patrol (we also did it last year) there are a variety and wheelchair accessible are available, try target. Unicorn, Disney Princess. I don’t know if there are accessible dinosaur customs but dinosaurs are favorites as well. Encanto for sure.
