DD bored and sad at current all girls school

Oftentimes things are strict at the beginning to set standards and then become more lax. My girls both went to an area all-girls upper school and loved it. Recommend giving it more time.

OP- while I agree that transition to a new environment can take time, I disagree with PP. Exploring other schools this fall can help DD feel less stuck and more empowered. If she starts to enjoy her current school, she can always abandon plans to apply out and/or not leave. But having options is very important when a child is unhappy. I know the application process is really hard on top of school demands, but seeing other possibilities can help her think through her next steps. Good luck.
