Incident at NB yesterday

I’m a NB parent and don’t have any problems with the way this was handled. I think the idea of taking roll call on buses or checking IDs at the door is ridiculous.

This sort of thing is not new but what is new is locking down an entire school for an issue like this. I’m not disagreeing with ithat procedure but it does increase the profile and the impact on the kids.

Obviously the girl in question is really troubled and I hope that someone can get her some help. I assume CPS is involved at this point and hopefully mental health professionals. It sort of sounds like she needs a residential placement somewhere if two previous suspensions haven’t put her on a better path.
