I mean, like eat fish? Nothing you wrote would give you high LDL. You were eating something else to get it elevated.

Nope. OP here. I think my high LDL must be genetic. I’ve eaten this way for years. Never been above BMI 22 either.

Today.

Easy walk at lunch

Oatmeal with blueberries and chopped pecans with a glass of milk for breakfast.

Apple and cheese stick for lunch.

Chipotle bowl with brown rice, chicken, beans, fajita vegetables, and salsa.

Might be able to get in another walk after dinner but I think it will be raining.

Apples and oatmeal for me are appetite stimulants. I cannot eat them - and yes I've tried adding protein to my oatmeal and also to my apples. Nope - I could devour a house after eating those two items.

Also an easy walk should be counted as exercise, it's more of a "let's get that blood flowing" type of activity.

over time your HR will decrease on your walk, you need to increase the intensity, time, and distance.

Also, what else are you eating the rest of the day?

you are doing just fine btw

Why so much milk, OP? It’s not necessary. Just drink water.

That's a misconception and lie put out there by the Dairy lobby. Your bones need Vit D, Vit K, weight bearing exercise, and sunshine to remain healthy and strong.

I generally agree, but the geriatric specialist doctors my mom sees for bone density issues disagree. They keep telling her to drink milk!

Your mom needs more educated doctors then. That is an easy and lazy response to give to someone when the doctor hasn't taken the time to stay on top of research.

Learn proper grammar if YOU'RE going to cut into someone's mental health status. YOU'RE YOU'RE YOU'RE - learn it!

Excuse me? The post literally says “ criticize it mercilessly”.

You attacked their mental health, you didn't critique anything. Also, learn the difference between YOUR and YOU'RE

Absolutely. But in a lot of locations with a large retiree population, medical care is not on the same level as what you are used to in the DC area. Choice is much smaller, caring and talented doctors who educate themselves on the latest research are very difficult to find.
