How often has your kid been sick this school year?

My first-grader (who was 3 when Covid started) has had two separate mild fever-and-sore throat bugs in the last two weeks. Tested negative for Covid over multiple days both times. We still mask at school (but not at lunchtime, of course, and that's when he's closest to other people). I think it's just that he's getting exposed to germs he never encountered before during a year+ of virtual and then nearly a year of required masking at school. My 10-year-old hasn't gotten either illness, likely because he was exposed pre-Covid.

HS DD got sick first time in 2 yr, extremely painful sore throat and cough, no fever, -ve for Covid, could this be strep without fever?
