If you love Tana French

Susie Steiner’s books are fabulous. I am so sorry she passed away young—she wrote the final book while almost completely blind.

I just read The Overnight Guest by Heather Gudenkauf. Not a detective novel. But it hooked me in, and I've seen reviews comparing her to Gillian Flynn.

Another recommendation for Kate Atkinson’s Jackson Brodie mysteries.

I love Tana French’s books and I totally disagree about Ruth Ware.

+1 PP. I don't think this OP would like Ruth Ware much, or Lucy Foley as suggested further up the thread.

Yup!! Ruth Ware and Lucy Foley are not on the same level as Tana French. They are chick lit of murder mysteries.

I finished reading this recently and I enjoyed it. The topic is somewhat disturbing.

I love Tana French and would recommend Jane Harper’s books, Gilly MacMillan’s books and my new US based favorite Louisa Luna’s Alice Vega mysteries.
