What one Beatles song would you play for someone who never heard of them?

I love that one and there’s many people that don’t know it.

DH and I saw Paul McCartney and I was thrilled when he included it because i didn’t expect it.

+1. Lucky you two!

Yep. That was before the internet when you would get line tickets from the ticket outlets for the day they went on sale. DH and I both got 5-6 line tickets at two different places. I had mine memorized because they said if you were found with more than one, you would automatically be booted to the end of the line.

I ended up with an early ticket and we got 4th row seats!

+1. That one always speaks to my soul. Although possibly it’s because I have a very clear memory of hearing it playing scratchily from a tape deck while coming down from MDMA in the room of a friend who died way too young (of cancer, not drugs). Love ya, R.

Imagine isn’t by the Beatles
Proving my point, I don't even know their catalog apparently. lol

And yet you claim you don’t like them.

This thread illustrating all the wildly different music the Beatles catalog covers. What a great band.

Why can you only play one? Play a few to show the different sounds they have.
