| I did a Google search and found this thread. It is amazing! DS had the SAT this morning, and there was a massive traffic jam to get into school. Many kids got out of the car and walked to school, and there was an enormous line after 8 a.m. outside the door, the supposed starting time. The original thread started in 2022, and the school did nothing to improve the traffic pattern. Why do they still host SAT? |

No, that was old paper test. New test is shorter. Should be done by 11 if started at 8:30 |

Several top schools recently returned to requiring test scores. |

And more than this--kids from the DMV will be expected to submit scores. most kids do so those who don't are looked at with suspicion (must have scored low). I don't know any kids who are just blowing it off. |

| Stumbled into this thread - after my student took SAT this morning at Springbrook. SAT is already stressful, so the traffic congestion (line to make left turn onto Valley Ridge) could not have helped, especially any new student drivers. Never again. |

| Same issue today and we left 45 minutes early. People were cutting in the line left turn lane, so stressful |

| Honestly, it brought out the worst in humanity. Tons of obnoxious parents cutting in at the last minute to the left lane when it was abundantly clear that's where you needed to be and where others had been patiently waiting for a long time. It was very stressful. Does anyone know when they started? |

| Contact your local elected officials for them to station police at that light on test dates, or get the MD Department of Transportation State Highway Administration to make the left turn arrow longer or change the traffic patterns at that light. |

My daughter took the ACT at this location in June and the air conditioner was broken. Thermostats registered 90. I can’t believe there isn’t more control over these sites and oversight on which sites can actually handle the task.
She took another test in May at another Silver Spring location and there was loud music blaring and construction in the room next to her. Moderators couldn’t do anything about it. |
