Comments are (usually) visible in Canvas. If you're logged in to the ParentVue web site, click on Parent Resources, then MyMCPS Classroom. That gets you into Canvas, where you can see individual assignments.

The Blackbaud platform will do all these things and it’s mobile friendly. One log in for every single thing related to school.

Yes, that's exactly what synergy does. The permissions and presentation are simply branded by the user's role.

Not at all. As a teacher I have to take attendance on Synergy but post assignments for submission on Canvas. I can grade on canvas but the. I have to make missing assignments with a Z in synergy. Same for school materials. I have to sift through emails and Google drive to find info about workplace policies and other important files instead of it living on a faculty only tile on a singular platform designed for all of these things.

Colleges and private K-12 schools is Blackbaud and it’s so much better than all the MCPS platforms from the teacher, student and parent perspective. Just sayin’

My child has blackboard for her college courses and hates it.

The issue isn't the system itself, but that the systems - all of them - have so much flexibility that every school and instructor is all over the place when they implement them.

Blackboard is not the same as Blackbaud.
