How am I supposed to know if I have Orangeburg? I need to call them.

dig a test pit

Call a plumber and they should be able to tell from camera-ing it.

The only out-of-pocket was fixing the landscaping after they left, because they put down grass seed but wouldn’t replace my Azalea. Still a total bargain IMO.

What insurance company did you use?

Yes, I had Orangeburg. They can stick a camera down the toilet hole. They removed the toilet in the basement first for me.

OP get the insurance. Replacing the water line is several thousand dollars and they do fail.

Not true, Erie offers it in one of their more expensive home insurance packages.

Right, PP has no idea what they are talking about. Got it as a rider on my Nationwide policy. I have both options, backup for sewers and drains and also service line.

"Many homeowners policies do not cover the underground pipes and lines leading into your home, despite the fact that they are your responsibility. This coverage helps you avoid costly repairs or upkeep by letting Nationwide handle those costs, based on the age of your property."
