Will your child wear a mask when they go back to school?

I don’t know. Stores have them, Amazon, lots of places to purchase.

If they're giving them out, maybe they'd wear one. I don't know.

I'm with this poster.

DC (12th grade) could wear one if he wants, but I know him well enough to know it's a hard no.

So your comment is you are oblivious.

And that’s why I’m glad the schools will be ‘Masks Optional’ and not ‘Masks Required’.

Some of us are nervous about catching Covid. Some of us have already had Covid and are fine going without masks.

Every family can choose what works best for them.

Two out of four of my family have already had Covid. My kids will be masking this fall (and are this summer, at indoor summer camps) because we want the other two family members to be protected. Also--you can get it more than once. The BA.5 variant easily avoids immunity from vaccination and prior infection. Sadly, even my infection in June isn't worth anything now. I'm no longer concerned anyone in my household will be seriously ill (thanks, vaccines!) but shutting everything down for up to 10 days was s no joke and I want to avoid doing that again if we can. When I had Covid, I tested positive for 9 days, even though I felt fine by day 4. That's a long time to be off work or school.

Well we know that you know someone who has worn one in over a year if ever. You just have an agenda.
Everyone knows someone who has worn one.

Your doctor has worn one, your neighbor has worn one, your delivery person has worn one, your president has worn one, someone in your family has worn one. Are you claiming to be a hermit?

They used to, but where I live you might see 1:100 people in a mask and nobody I directly interact with wear any in about a year. So you think what you want but here we don’t mask anymore. You can though, knock yourself out.

You can knock yourself out on insisting that you know no one who hasn’t worn one in a year or ever.

You get the trophy for being the solo person on a planet of billions who doesn’t know anyone who has worn a mask ever or over a year.

Hey me neither, it must be a DC thing people talking about all these masks. I never wore one unless going to hospital anyways but majority of people I know never did or if they had it’s been at least 6 months since I’ve seen them in a mask. DC said one kid in class still wore one all year but no teachers or admin did that they saw. Maybe the masker has health issues. If I see someone with a mask on now I think it’s really bizarre looking.
