I think I get labeled "MAGA" and "libt*ard" in equal amounts, depending on the topic at issue.

#bothsides without viable solutions gets you considered a disingenuous shitposter by both sides.

PP here and I hear that.

It isn't really that I "both sides" any individual issues. It is that I don't have views on ALL issues that fall squarely in line with the dogma/platform of one party. Apparently that is verboten.

I also got ambivalent right and am politically engaged. The description is very accurate (well, except for the young part), although I never would have considered myself to the 'right' five years ago and still don't on many issues.

I only recently started considering myself right-leaning, in fact I tend to be liberal on most issues. I do vote R now, though.

So you either are a racist and misogynist or just support them or are willing to overlook them for personal gain.

Excellent!

I consider myself a Bill Clinton/Joe Biden democrat and also got Democratic Mainstay.

Unlike some of my counterparts, I’ve gotten much more liberal as I’ve gotten older, partly in response to the increasing insanity on the right.

Me too. I am very optimistic about the future. We are having some economic shifts right now with globalism ending. It will get sorted out. I look forward to less consumerism (and trash it generates).

What makes you think globalization is ending? Do you think we will stop buying Toyotas in the US or that Coke won't be sold in Europe any time soon?

Are you a Libra?

I got Democratic Mainstay, but a lot of what is in the description of that group does not apply to me at all, nor were there any questions related to the items that are completely not me. Flawed.

same, but some of the questions did not have answers I wanted to choose.

Agreed (this is PP).

I got “establishment liberal”

Which was surprising.

I support lots of free trade and said i liked hearing other languages spoken than English

But I also said that trans movement is very bad for society.

I don’t support Biden. I voted for trump in 2020 but Dems down ticket.

Same to all of this. Although I am not a huge Democratic Party booster type. I'm much more practical - Republicans offer nothing at this moment in history that I have any interest in. I'm happy to vote Democrat.

Outsider Left. Without reading the list of categories, I don’t disagree with this, but I omitted one question, and struggled with a few others because the options didn’t adequately reflect my beliefs and experiences.
Anonymous
Ambivalent Right. Not too far off, although the questions didn't have enough nuance to capture my actual views.
Anonymous
I found the lack of nuance annoying. For instance, do I think the US should be the one military superpower above all others? Not really, but it would have to depend on who the other military superpowers are and our relationship with them.

No other frequent Political Forum posters want to weigh in with their results? Seems like quite a few "moderates" between the Outsider Left to Ambivalent Right categories.

Another Outsider Left here. Can't disagree, although several of the questions really didn't have any good answer.

I lean left to hard-left on many issues: right to choose, social services, tax policy (not necessarily rates, but they basic structure), practical and meaningful equity initiatives.

But I'm moderate on a few big ones, like gun control. I support a lot more restriction than is in place now, but am a gun owner and hunter myself, having grown up in a time and place where hunting was the main way to put food on our table. So I'd like to see assault-style weapon bans, mandated training and tests, waiting periods and more intensive background checks, red flag laws, consistent registration requirements, and more... But I also believe that responsible gun ownership and use does have a place in our society.

And, while I actually agree with the theory of many conservative ideals (fiscal responsibility, less government intrusion on personal lives), I don't believe the Republican party actually practices the ideals that they claim. The hypocrisy of screaming "no mask mandates! personal freedom!" while denying basic health decisions to others, or claiming special religious privileges while denying the same to people of other faiths, or claiming fiscal responsibility while dropping taxes and driving up defense spending, or I could go on and on .... I get angry at the right for claiming one thing that sounds good but doing the complete opposite. But the basic ideals, in many cases, don't turn me off.

Progressive Left. Not totally surprised, I vote in every election and always always always vote Dem, it is interesting because although I tend to be pretty left in my social and economic viewpoints I find the "progressive wing" of the party (Bernie, AOC, etc.) kind of annoying and toxic and in primaries and such I usually vote for the Joe Biden types.
