Did you READ the article? She was WITH HER STEPDAD at the game and basically left willingly. This same child has “left” her family home several times. This is not the example to use to prove your point. |
That why there was traffic near Fed ex today |

OP here - concert went well! The boys really enjoyed it (was the first concert for both) and had no issues navigating around. DS originally wanted to go to the Kendrick concert too, but since we're not made of money, that one isn't happening. Would love to hear about it from one of the PPs.
Also, wow traffic is horrendous around fedex field. Is it always that bad when there's an event? |
Good to hear. DS & friends are going to Kendrick this week. |
Yes. That’s why they encourage people to Metro. |
Yes - that is why pick up plan + snacks/ water in the car after are so important. |

i would definitely let them.
My kids started going to concerts with friends at 13. Probably 10 different families involved over several concerts (upper NW) and all were ok with this. When you post on DCUM you always get replies from the complete safety outliers. Those with their 10 year olds in car boosters, their 18 year olds who don't stay home overnight, etc Take all replies on here with a GIANT grain of salt and ask your real-life friends. |
Someone in a previous post suggested having them carry a portable charger, sounds like a good “plan” to me

FYI, Cap One Arena is notorious for having a bad signal during concerts or games. I've experienced this problem myself so just keep that in mind for all parties involved. |

Just took my 14 and 16 yr. old boys to see Pitbull on Friday at Jiffy Lube Live.
It was us and 20,000 other teens. Lots of Pre-partying and tailgating happening. Yikes! |
