So now it's okay to do something illegal as long as you don't get prosecuted for it? |
They MIGHT be able to obtain a COSA if childcare is an issue due to the distance of their home from their work location, but that's doing it the proper way. |
OP are you willing to tell your kid to live a lie around their friends and teachers by having them pretend that they live within the boundary of the desirede school? |
If you think this has even a snow ball chance than you haven’t had kids in MCPS very long… |
I was making a point about Moco. I thought for a liberal bastion to even continue to have boundaries - what many call separate and unequal - while a conservative bastion doesn’t was worthy to mention. I was the fool and paid half million bucks to get in the W cluster 15 years ago only to see the test score difference was due to cram schools. |
Umm, that is exactly how things work now here in the US. For example, an individual can come live comfortably and happily in Montgomery County, even if you are undocumented. People drive around MoCo uninsured and unbothered. Attending a school that you are not zoned for is small fries. |
I'd rat you out for any of those things in heartbeat. |
| I wanted to go to Wootton when I was in high school. I even wore wootton clothes to athletic events at my high school |
Lol! Do you live in Montgomery County? Rat someone out to whom? It’s just how things are at this point. |
did you get jumped? I hope this is a troll, if not.. kind of sad. |
The Central Office. I think they even pay bounties even for this sort of thing! |
I'd rat you out to the boys with the butterfly nets at Bellevue |
nope . Why would track team members jump me? I wore I’m at track practice . The worst I got was a “wtf?” |
Not a chance. Central Office doesn’t care at all. And the schools are understaffed anyway, so the attendance secretaries are not out there verifying residency. Also, it is impossible to prove that a kid doesn’t live at an ‘alternate address’. If parents really want, they just fill out one of those Shared Housing forms with an aunt or cousin and use that to attend. |
