How can I send my DS to Wootton or Churchill without moving?

That's illegal. You are teaching your child it's okay to lie to get something you want.

So now it's okay to do something illegal as long as you don't get prosecuted for it?

Totally unethical but you do you

Or you do what MCPS administrators have been doing for years. They sent their children where ever they want.

I know, right? Dr McKnight sends her kids to school in PG County!

That's where she lives. Idiot

I think that was the point. An earlier poster made an unsubstantiated claim that MCPS administrators send their kids to school out of bounds. While I wasn't the immediate PP, it seems to me the point is that even the senior most administrator in the district doesn't do that. So why should we think others are doing so?

Yes, nobody does that kind of thing at least not for long since they'd be fired as soon as it came to light. It's also kind of tiring that people try to spread this kind of misinformation since it just creates anger over fake news.

They MIGHT be able to obtain a COSA if childcare is an issue due to the distance of their home from their work location, but that's doing it the proper way.

OP are you willing to tell your kid to live a lie around their friends and teachers by having them pretend that they live within the boundary of the desirede school?

If you think this has even a snow ball chance than you haven’t had kids in MCPS very long…

I was making a point about Moco. I thought for a liberal bastion to even continue to have boundaries - what many call separate and unequal - while a conservative bastion doesn’t was worthy to mention. I was the fool and paid half million bucks to get in the W cluster 15 years ago
only to see the test score difference was due to cram schools.

Umm, that is exactly how things work now here in the US. For example, an individual can come live comfortably and happily in Montgomery County, even if you are undocumented. People drive around MoCo uninsured and unbothered.

Attending a school that you are not zoned for is small fries.

Not a chance. Central Office doesn’t care at all. And the schools are understaffed anyway, so the attendance secretaries are not out there verifying residency. Also, it is impossible to prove that a kid doesn’t live at an ‘alternate address’. If parents really want, they just fill out one of those Shared Housing forms with an aunt or cousin and use that to attend.
