How can I send my DS to Wootton or Churchill without moving?

Totally unethical but you do you

Or you do what MCPS administrators have been doing for years. They sent their children where ever they want.

I know, right? Dr McKnight sends her kids to school in PG County!

That's where she lives. Idiot

I think that was the point. An earlier poster made an unsubstantiated claim that MCPS administrators send their kids to school out of bounds. While I wasn't the immediate PP, it seems to me the point is that even the senior most administrator in the district doesn't do that. So why should we think others are doing so?

Yes, nobody does that kind of thing at least not for long since they'd be fired as soon as it came to light. It's also kind of tiring that people try to spread this kind of misinformation since it just creates anger over fake news.

What is it that your kid dislikes about their current school and why do you believe going to Wootton or Churchill is going to solve the problem? Maybe the problem is with your kid.

The things that standout about these schools is they're the least diverse in the county and have few low-income students. I know it's probably impolite to say this but that's unfortunately a selling point for some people. Sadly, it also is at the root of the many racial incidents that also seem to plague these schools.

Wow. Kind of an ugly way to phrase it but I guess that’s to be expected from DCUM.

Maybe the better way to approach it would be to ask what specific issues OP’s son is encountering at his current school that makes him think Wootton or Churchill would be better. Lack of academic challenges? Bullying? Friends slated to attend those schools?

I thought McKnight sends her kids to a private school in a different county? That came up when she needed a police escort to beat traffic during the Magruder shooting. She doesn't live in MC, or has she moved now?

No. Whitman is the least diverse cluster by far. And just because a school is diverse doesn’t mean it may not be a terrible environment for some kids. There are some minority kids who behave terribly towards their fellow students and Asian kids are often primary targets.

I don't know if she's moved yet, but her new contract stipulated that she needed to move to MoCo within a year.

Both of these schools are very diverse. My kids went to Churchill and it was 50% white.

No, you have to live within a school's boundary.

This is a troll post by a sad bitter person who found d oit someone "got" something they felt *they* were entitled to.

Is this a joke? They are the least diverse in the county. There are almost no FARMS, AA, or Hispanic students.

Find a course or program that they teach at one of those schools that they do not offer at your home school and they have to let you go to that school.

Or, get a job at that school and they have to let your kid go to that school.

To answer your question: I would simply find a friend in those districts and use their address if you have no issues with ethics. Have you ever heard of anyone being prosecuted for this in MoCo? Hell Arizona is doing away with school catchments. Why does liberal Moco keep them?
