At some point during the day, my kid changes into regular clothes. I’m 99% sure his trunks spend at least some time on the bathroom floor. *shudders*

I do a quick cold wash in the evening with his suit, towel, and clothes from the day.

I do have several pairs of trunks, so we rotate through.

Same, in the delicate washer on top with just a dash of detergent. Minimal water, minimal rubbing.

Wash daily. Quick cycle, cold water, hang to dry overnight.

Same here. Wash in the sink at night, wash in the machine (and hang dry) over the weekend. 3 suits.

If it’s worn all day like clothing, then yes wash after each wear. If it’s worn only for the pool/water play (chlorinated or city water, not a lake), then I rinse it by hand with water then hang dry. Don’t let my girls hang out in wet bathing suits though because it gives them yeast infections. I have Primary and HA suits that are on their third or fourth summers and the elastic is still near perfect, so seems to be working okay for us.
