When did your son go through growth spurt?

Anonymous
Mine didn't have much of a spurt like some. Just a steady 2 to 2.5" per year.

He hit puberty late - like 15. But, I think he will continue to grow into college, just like his dad did. DS is only 5' 7.5", I think, at 17. His voice only started cracking a few months ago.

His dad is tall, but I'm short. So, I think he will be average, which is fine.

. Hmm not true in my son’s case. He has early puberty and dental delay.

My sons got teeth very early and grew late.

No growth spurt for my 13.5yo DS yet. He’s 5’2”ish.

FWIW it seems about half and half among his same aged friends….1/2 have grown, 1/2 have not.

He's grown about an additional inch since 8th grade and is now in 11th grade. He was a tall 9th grader at 6 foot. Many boys have either caught up or surpassed him.

This is pretty much how my son has been, steady 3” a year, until 13-14, he grew a little over 4”. Just turned 14, he’s 5’11”. Doctor expects another 3-5”.

On what does good doctor base this? My kids doctors have always basically said it’s impossible to tell.
