Summer travel packing - is two outfits a day standard for before and after beach visits?

My kids may re wear their morning pre-beach clothes. I figure they may get dirty from breakfast or whatever, but the kid is going to get dirty again at the beach so wearing kind of dirty clothes beforehand is ok. Their stuff also dries quickly so I may rinse in the sink if they get covered in syrup or something and then it's fine to wear again the next morning or so.

For the beach, packing for children I bring a bunch of bathing suits, at least one per day, and then a couple of tshirts and shorts. One pair of tennis shoes, two flip flops. PJs for every night.

They go from PJs to bathing suits. After the beach they shower and put on shorts and thsirts, which we wear out to dinner.

Clean PJs and bathing suits each day, but re-wear the shorts/tshirts.

Here's how I pack my kids for a week at the beach...we stay in hotels and don't do laundry; each kid gets:

- a lot of bathing suits and a cover up

-two pairs of PJ's (they shower in the evening, so I don't think more is needed)

-daily underwear (obvious)

- 3 to 4 outfits that they wear/rotate as needed throughout the week (maybe one gets worn to dinner one night, and then breakfast or an activity the next morning, etc., whatever). Re-wearing is fine because kids shower daily in the evening, and they are only wearing for small-ish chunks of time. My kids are also not particularly sweaty.

-one beachy/pool shoe (like flip flop) and one other shoe (maybe a sneaker)...they wear the latter on the travel day, so it's not in suitcase anyways

I have two kids and this really doesn't take up much luggage.
