I thought it was "respectful, responsible, and ready to learn" |
Ready to learn... yes |
You clearly have no idea how severe this problem at Barnsley was. If a pipe bursts in your house and the ceiling of your first floor caves in, and it is raining on your child’s head as he walks through the hallway, AND there is 6 inches of water on your kitchen floor…. you actually would wonder if there were significant structural issues in your home. |
The school was NOT redone. They put an addition on because of overcrowding. The older part of the housing was not upgraded in any way. But yes, the priorities most definitely DO seem out of whack. |

Sure..I live in a 60 year old home with pipes that are expected to last 50 years. A major leak means we need new pipes. We have had one already. |
A burst pipe is a burst pipe... |
Then be responsible and replace the pipes like we did. |
MCPS is trying to balance the needs of the whole kid, not just the part you care about. |
What kind of asinine platitude is that? LOL All of us should care about the safety of the whole buildings that our whole kids are in. |
Maybe we should start with making sure all kids can read. |
MCPS tried this, but it has proven to be too difficult. So, it has given up and is now focusing on other less challenging tasks. |

Still not sure if Barnsley will be open tomorrow.
Surely a stressful situation for the faculty and staff. |
