| They are both pretty and in my opinion are similar to each other as far as type of name. I’d just pick whichever sounds best with your last name. |
| https://nameberry.com/userlist/view/36881/3 Juna is a stripper name so if you want her to become something special go with June. |
| Both are lovely! I've also known wonderful Junes and Alices in real life, also probably why I like those names. |
|
|
| Hate both, sorry. |
| Maybe the best thing to do when you're deciding between names is to stay off DCUM. Someone is always going to say something negative. |
I hate when people say this and then don't have anything to suggest. Ok so this isn't your taste, what is? |
| Definitely Alice. I'm so tired of hearing about the name June. |
| I like Alice a lot. I think June is an updated "Autumn" -- pretty but dumb. |
|
From the SSN site, Alice is more popular but leveling off after rising in the early 2000s. June is less popular overall but zooming up in popularity (anecdotally it seems to come up constantly on this site).
If your kid were one of two Junes in her class, would June sound okay with your last initial? (ie, I would not want to be June B, it just sounds bad to me). |
| Alice |
That's probably because of the Junie B. Jones books - that kid is a total brat. |
| I love them both. If one goes better with your surname, I’d pick that, but otherwise, maybe wait and meet the baby before you decide? We had three possible boy names for our second, and shortly after he was born, agreed on one. It’s perfect for him! |
| OP here. Thanks everyone for the comments. I didn’t realize June is surging in popularity so that is something to think about. I obviously am not committed to a truly unique name but also don’t want her name to be like the next Sophia where eventually it will sound “so 2022”. |
| Judith is lovely, and the nickname Jude has a very similar sound to June. |
