That’s a pet name. |
Yes, you're old. Alyssa/Alicia were very 80s names; people having kids now aren't naming them after people they went to elementary school with. |
Opinions still count even when they don't mesh with yours. |
NP: I like Alyssa and Alicia MUCH better than Alice (or June). |
No, Septembre is a sophisticated compromise. |

Of your two choices, my preference would be June.

As opposed to Alice, which peaked in the 1900s. It's rising in popularity now, and is more popular than Alicia, but it's a very old name. Also there's nothing wrong with the 80s. Best music, best names. I'm not ashamed of my age. |
Yes, that's the point. People having kids now are looking to the 1900-40s for inspiration. They're not naming kids Alyssa any more than they're naming them Karen. PPP is clearly of an age where Alicia/Alyssa sounded "fresh" or nicer than plain ol' Alice, but that line of thinking is outdated. I'll let you have whatever thoughts you need to about the music of the 80s. |

PP is correct that nowadays Alice and June and Pearl and Maude are much more fashionable than Alyssa and Alicia.
However, they are incorrect about 80s music, which slaps. |

Strongly dislike Alice.
I like June. And we will probably need her leadership in Gilead |
I’ve never once heard of anyone name their pet Autumn. |
