We can’t sleep here either. The sound travels.

No actually, this is not the norm. I have lived in DC for 25 years and have never experienced this.

Always nice to hear from an old white person who resents the diversification of the city. Sorry, but BIPOC people are allowed to have fun. Perhaps you should insulate your house better and then you would not hear it

You’re really not understanding how loud it is.

You can have a musical event without the sound traveling to neighboring states.

Yet another reason I will be voting against Bowser.

I live 1.5 miles away and the sound level is bananas. I’m all for loud concerts, but how about doing them Fri and Sat nights? Sunday til 11 pm seems out of bounds.
Anonymous
Isn’t this a noise ordinance violation?

I am neither old (in my late 30s) nor am I white. You are really failing with the assumptions here.

Great concert, thanks Muriel!

311 isn't going to do anything, unfortunately. I'm donating to her opponent.

I don't imagine her opponent will take our quality of life any more seriously. Either of them.

It's ethics. Bowser is all about pay to play. Robert White isn't like that. We would have seen it in him as a councilmember if he was doing that.

OK fine but Robert White is no friend to a livable city for middle class families. At the end of the day he will make things far worse for us. I wish we had a moderate besides Bowser to vote for too but we have only Bowser, Robin Hood White, and Wide-Eyed Conspiracy Theory White. With those choices the reasonable mom holds her nose and votes Bowser.

It's our resident hammer poster seeing nails everywhere again.

That's a crappy excuse for an arts scene! Suburban teen basement noise on steroids!

Are you suggesting that Muriel "Thumping Base" Bowser is making DC lovable for the middle class? Even this latest debacle aside, what are you smoking? She's the one sinking the ship.
