A low SES woman is highly unlikely to ever meet, let alone date and marry, a very, very rich man. These men tend to meet and marry within their own social circles.

You'll have more luck marrying a man who is on his way up (e.g., an engineer at a tech company that has not yet gone public) or, as others have suggested, a medical or legal professional. If you didn't meet and marry one of these in college, then your best bet is meeting them at work. People in all these fields tend to have really intense work hours, so that's where they are on Friday nights.

As others have suggested, it's also helpful to be an attractive partner yourself. Thin (for sure), attractive and stylish but not stunning, and though you don't have to be wealthy already, you can't be a total mess. You should be working on your own career and achievements, and have a budget and savings.

Can you define “high earning”? Top 10% is easy if you’re in DC. Top 5% is harder, top 3% very hard and honestly top 1% is likely out of reach.

But the problem with wealthy and conventionally attractive men is they have tons of options and will be very picky both in looks and your own status. And tons will cheat or just use you for sex without committing. Harder to get one of these guys if all you bring to the table is looks.

Become a caregiver to his ailing father during which time he becomes smitten with you.
You must make it clear his wealth does not impress you. Use your wit to best him a few times which will infuriate him but also draw him in.
