Which local politicians are republicans/conservatives? I don't think there are any at the local level, and a very few at the state level. |
Robin Ficker. Does he count? He is was elected once back in the 70s and he runs for office every year. Far and away the most cringe. |
| Charles Allen is a total clown |
He’s dead. It’s T. White and second place isn’t even close. |
| I watched Mendo in a town hall and he didn't know basic facts about the questions that had been publicly posted in advance, and realized he was a clown. I don't know if he's generally that bad, though. |
I don't think Ficker is dead. He's legit cray-cray though. Which is sad, because he was a smart man. |
| Has to be T. White. I've heard die-hard progressives say he's "dumb" or a "moron" and actually mean him as a person and not his policies or political beliefs. |
| Dumbkin. He is a tool and wants to destroy the Loudoun County Public School system. |
| Audrey Clement in Arlington. Runs for everything and mercifully never wins. |

Already mentioned 4 times, but am saying Hans Reimer for a 5th time.
Talks about all the change needed, but neglects to mention he has been on the Council for 12 years and is part of the problem, not the solution. Also lis very much like a used car salesman, will tell you whatever it is he thinks you want to hear, it doesn't matter if it is true or not. |
NP here: I agree! |
+1 He claims to be the candidate of “Yes” while Elrich is the executive who says “No.” But when has Elrich ever gotten his way on housing and development? The council has overruled on everything and has been in favor of every developer giveaway and so-called smart growth initiative for 20 years. And all we have to show for it is same-old same-old, luxury apartments above chain retail. No actually affordable housing, no real business development and small businesses are getting choked out by chains. And housing continues to skyrocket and price out young families while developers laugh their way to the bank. Even if you don’t like Elrich, the status quo is the result of Riemer and the Council, not Elrich. |
| Bowser leads the cringe pack. |
|
Jawando made a spectacle of himself at the budget overview worksession. He accused staff of fear mongering and being alarmist and basically said he wants all the money to spend on everything and everyone.
Every other council member said they would be fiscally prudent in some form or another. So either Jawando is all performative fluff or he really doesn't understand how tax revenues work. Well maybe he's both. |
Disbarred, but not dead. |
