Exactly. I’ll be furious if they hold these events and then end up having to shut down classrooms in the aftermath.

+1 as someone who donated to our recent auction but did not attend for this reason, I will be livid. I think we missed the window where cases were truly low and now they seem higher than in January at our school.

To those of you saying it’s just a cold, be thankful if that is all it is/was for you. Some people are still getting seriously sick and/or having to deal with long term issues. I just got a text from a friends husband telling me she is in the hospital (not in the dc area). She has no underlying conditions, is thin, works out daily, etc. Shes triple vaxxed but in the same boat a lot of us are where her booster was a while ago but she doesn’t qualify for a second booster
