We are actually considering transferring our younger kids to schools that inflate grades. It appears the whole picture of a child now is straight As or bust. Actual learning be darned.

I understand your frustration. DC high achiever at a top private. Straight As, top track, almost perfect SAT. Rejected. This admissions cycle has been awful. Realistically, with an applicant pool of 7Ok, the school has its pick of the litter of similar high achievers. Let's remind our kids that they are still great and it will all work out.
