| Rejected here too |
| Rejected and dejected |
| It was actually 69,000 applications for 3200 spots |
|
I think students should consider transferring if they really want to go there.
|
| Accepted to film school. |
| Relative’s DD got in. Dad an alum. ACT 32. |
That's crazy. Is that coming from USC letter? |
| Every single kid from east coast we know going to USC for fall 22 is a recruited girl lax player (know 4). |
"Numbers cannot tell the whole story, but I hope you find the context helpful: We received 69,000 applications for admission, but only have the capacity to enroll about 3,200 students in our entering class. Of those offered admission, most achieved nearly straight-A averages in a rigorous schedule of classes." - part of rejection letter from reddit |
| Our kid is in. Not an athlete. High stats. Didn’t apply by the early deadline for scholarships so was surprised she got in since it is a proxy for interest. Another kid from her school did and was accepted with merit a few weeks back. |
DS rejected. 34 ACT, 3.9uw, rigorous schedule. Was top choice but did get into some other great options. |
We are actually considering transferring our younger kids to schools that inflate grades. It appears the whole picture of a child now is straight As or bust. Actual learning be darned. |
That’s not a bad idea honestly. Straight As at average public and test optional seems to be the way in to a lot of colleges rn. |
Congrats! My kid is a Freshman and loves it. One of the most hardest programs to get into with 2% acceptance rate. |
The film school has like a 2-3% acceptance rate and it’s the best in the country! Congratulations!! |
