Mine would drink milk. Prefer no sofa.

Isn't Sprite and Ginger Ale "soda"?

Gross. It’s a party, OP. Just get some soda.

What do you have against milk?

Who wants to run around, get sweaty then drink milk? Gag, I'm with PP.

They will not touch sparkling water - I have tried

LOL, no, tween and teen boys don’t want your 45 year old mom diet beverage. Give the kids water, sports drinks, or soda. If you want to get fancy do Arnold Palmers.

My 11 year old son actually loves LaCroix, for some reason. But at a party? He would be so happy to see soda.

Our kids have always preferred sparkling over flat water. Have you traveled outside the US PP? Bubbles are not just for 45 yo moms.

Definitely gatorade. If you don't sparkling water/soda, make sure to have some gatorade on hand for those who don't like carbonation.

Milkis - slightly fizzy yogurt fruit drink. Korean product available at Costco. It’s novel, yummy, and sweet enough I don’t serve on the daily, but a treat on special occasions.

Definitely soda. And Gatorade/Powerade. Have water, too. It's a party. They are supposed to eat junk food.

Fyi a bunch of root beer brands have caffeine, despite pp listing it as caffeine free.

Snapple drinks are a hit, though probaby not much better than soda. Some do have caffeine.

We have mid summer birthdays, and regular old water is probably the most popular at birthdays.

Gatorade and water was popular at our 12 year olds party. Surprisingly, alot of water was consumed.

I also think it depends on the crowd too. When we had another party, all the juice and Gatorade were consumed and so much water were left over. The big difference between those two groups of kids are behavior and the how well they are fed at home. The 2nd group who consumed everything except water. This group is usually not fed well at home or as often (according to what they tell me-that they don't eat any fancy food, mostly hot dogs, sweets, burgers).

Somehow all of my son’s friends in that age range love sparkling water. They do have opinions on which brand is the best and I think prefer Spindrift which has some small amount of juice in it instead of just an essence of flavoring.

Lemonade, limeade, and/or cranberry juice.

(Ginger ale — not Sprite — if we’re doing soda.)

Why is ginger ale preferable to Sprite?
