Then just do Omar.

Some of you are trying wayyyyy too hard to be unique. Or should I say youxneekx (the x's are silent).

Amar is a real name. It's not unique.

Atlas is a HORRIBLE name!! Please, no.

August is great. The rest feel like cultural appropriation but fine otherwise. Just not Atlas.

Princess Eugenie also has an August. It's hot right now.

Do the Italians not count for cultural appropriation?

I think Amari or August are my top 2, although they're super different. I like Amari better. Amani seems like a girl name to me (and a google image search confirms that) and Rumi is so linked to the poet that I'd axe that too.

Atlas... not my style. Also reminds me of Ayn Rand.

How about Armand?

Not a hater but, you need to be able to take it especially if you are asking strangers to name your kid!

I vote August

Or the Greeks?

I’m Arab and Amani was on my list for girls names. I would take that one off your list first.

My kids went to school with an Amari and an Amani - both girls.

Atlas is a lot. Like a lot. Rumi is okay but will never not think of romantic poems.

I Like August.

I hear Atlas from Europeans here and there.
