Congratulations! |
I think so too. My 2020 DD got in with 3.3 and 1210 (and straight from EA, no deferral). She went somewhere else but I remember not being surprised she got in. Times have changed! |
This is the most bizarre and random thing I have read on this board to date. There were actually 4 normal schools in Virginia and JMU was not the first. And there were plenty of normal schools in the US as well. Do you even know what the term normal school means ? |
My 2020 son did not get in with a 3.4 and a 1310 SAT (30 ACT.) I wonder how much it depends on the major they are applying for? |
Any idea of acceptance rate? I believe last year was 81% (pre-common app). |
That’s just the resident troll who pops up on any thread about JMU. Very bitter about something, apparently. Just report the troll. |
I’m fact UVA hosted the first “normal school” in Virginia. |
Their insecurity is showing. Who cares? |
DP. Some parents really don't know. DC has a 4.59 gpa and I overheard DH telling someone that he thinks DC has about a 4.3. DH does look at the grades on the report card. |
Nothing reported yet. |
My non-Big3 private school student got in EA with 3.3 GPA and test optional. They were near the edge for their school based on the scatter grams. Will be going elsewhere, they just couldn't get past the highway bisecting it. |
This was definitely noticeable in the 90s but MUCH less now. |
Our DC is there now and as hard as it may be to believe, 81 isn't really noticeable. You really don't hear it and because the campus is higher than the road you don't see it except in the stadium if you are sitting in some of the higher seats. And there is both a tunnel over it and bridge under that makes the two parts of campus function as one. |
Yield protection? Is the 3.8 WGPA? |
