Those kids usually transfer out to higher tier schools from lower tier schools. Those kids leave because they think the schools are not challenging and good enough for them. Hence lower tier schools normally have lower retentions. |
Many schools have a January start class, I know people that did this at Middlebury, Duke, and Brandeiss, and there are programs discussed here about Northeastern starting freshmen elsewherr and such. Does anyone know how these programs are factored into attrition rates? Cal, for example, has a 97% retention rate (and the Northeastern booster is focused on its). |
If you factor in those programs, it'll only increase the retention rates. They haven't even started at the main campus. Those kids are eager to join in, and not likely to leave. |
