Many people were very turned off by their actions last year. Now they are basically a lobbying organization getting ready to run a candidate for SB so they have formed all sorts of opinions on other things.

Some are pretty reasonable but these people don't have a lot of depth on the issues, so they get things wrong or miss the bigger needs. Overall they are a group of white high income families, and that really colors their views and advocacy.

This is my take as well. They are trying to position themselves for future political action. SB candidate. Endorsements. Something.

But it’s hard to take them seriously after their behavior last year. And the more newsletters they put out, the clearer it is that they don’t have deep knowledge.

Perfect! They will fit in with the rest of the SB members who all lack a “deep knowledge”!
LOL

Are the SB members publishing newsletters with "analysis" based on their inadequate knowledge?

No! I wish they would! At least then we'd be hearing from them about what's going on in APS and what they intend to do about it.

I don’t really understand the “APE doesn’t have depth” view. Is anyone else publishing stuff like this? https://www.arlingtonparentsforeducation.org/think-tank

Seems like they’re the only ones actually putting thought into anything.
