Surprise Gender For Surprise Baby?

Anonymous
After years of trying and tests with dismal results, my doctor said I couldn’t get pregnant without IVF. The day before our appointment with Shady Grove Fertility, I found out I was pregnant. So it was definitely a surprise!! (And we went ahead with that appointment anyway, and that doctor didn’t think our chances would be all that good even with IVF.)

As I was in such disbelief, I wanted every possible test. So no other surprises

I am religious and found out the gender every time.

Unless you're amish or something, what would religion have to do with it?

Pretty religious person who chose to find out.

We were “Team Green” and I loved it. There are so few surprises in life. Finding out the moment the baby was born was awesome.

Usually we don't find out, but this pregnancy the genius tech put it in the ultrasound report. Slightly disappointing to not have the element of surprise after labor but not a big deal.

What? We didn't find out the sex, and my spouse is a firm atheist. We wanted to be surprised, so we were. It's not a big deal either way, but I can't see how it has anything to do with religion.

I'm not religious, and I never found out the gender. It didn't matter to us, and we liked the element of surprise.

Same with both of our kids. We waited. (I’ve never heard this about religious people and finding out the sex.)
There are few surprises in life that are this positive. My vote is to wait. It’s so much fun.
