If you don't mind going a little farther afield, you could try the River School in the DC Palisades. It's mask-mandated, but the teachers wear see-through masks. The teachers also use small lav mikes to amplify their voices slightly in the classroom Furthermore, class sizes are small and there are two teachers in every classroom, one of whom is a speech therapist (an SLP). There's often an intern in each class as well (someone who is in the midst of getting a master's in SLP).
I believe they will sometimes admit children mid-year if there's space. |
