1) you’re full of sh!t 2) withdrawal is ALWAYS an option from TJ, and the fact that you don’t know that FURTHER calls your story into question. |
It is not an option because of college admissions. Try to think before posting. |
Again, that’s false. There are plenty of kids who have withdrawn from TJ during their junior or even senior year and been fine in the college admissions process. But your assertion that an issue of safety couldn’t be resolved because of your mistaken understanding of college admissions further demonstrates your bad-faith incoherence. |
If you want to continue to display your ignorance fine. There is absolutely no reason to withdraw from TJ because some black kid assaulted my kid in junior year when my kid is doing well otherwise and, at TJ the counselor is assigned at the beginning for all four years. Maybe you won’t even understand what that means. The kid who committed the physical assault is the one who should be expelled or withdraw not the victim. |
| I guess we will see crime rates go up at TJ. |

Make certain you get your student into AAP. Consider a move in boundary to an AAP center school so your student will not have to change schools when granted admission to AAP.
Seek out known professionals be that a child psychologist, or a child development expert who will help with the referral portfolio that you’ll need to provide. Begin by using this specialists to identify any concerns like developmental delays that have gone unnoticed, like speech or physical therapies. Learn if your child has ADHD, for example. Start interventions to include pharmaceutical help and counseling now. Have a hand in ES teacher preference. Typically you are a FCPS teacher or administrator or PTA President and you’ll start by being an omnipresent, stalwart PTA volunteer in a key board position. Although you may not specifically ask for a teacher, you will learn the correct wording to describe your student’s personality and learning style to align with the preferred teacher. You’ll quickly learn which teachers to avoid. Chose either a private tutor OR a learning center now. I recommend C2 as they transparently serve to be a pipeline to TJSST. Decide now if your student will want to play youth sports. I know that the majority of TJHSST students have been in study groups and tutoring for the majority of their school age life. Youth sports will take away time from prep, especially if you envision your DC doing a travel sport that can begin as young as third grade. Also, travel is local travel, so you’ll spend a weekend in a nearby county watching your DC team play against another hometown team. Keep telling your DC how he/she is really something special and precocious. |
Yeah. You made this up. |
What a lame comeback. |
Jesus. You are a jerk. 1. Saying TJ students have issues. 2. The meds comment 3. The study groups, no sports comment (most TJ kids are very athletic and it is one of the ways to help them get in - they have good sports and most play club sports) |
Rushing into AoPS at age 6 seems like overkill. |
The post was a complete fabrication with some racism mixed in. The more effort wasn't required to respond to such foolishness. -DP |
I am the poster. It is NOT made up. |
Is that the reason TJ is over 70% Asians? |
| Over 70% was when it was merit based admissions. Now it’s race based admissions and checking the Asian box will mean you are doomed! |
Seriously, now a group that comprises 20% of the county only makes up 50% of the student body. Obviously clear racism |
