21:15 here. A domestic birth mother and birth father chose me, a single woman, for the adoption placement of their healthy newborn. It certainly does happen.

OP. I would go right to IVF and skip IUI, your chances of quick success are so much higher. And, in the end it will probably be cheaper.

Whether you want to try for twins or not is a personal decision, but I would recommend that you seriously consider the potential added dangers to you and the babies.

If you do an IVF, maybe you'll get lucky and have some frozen embryos that you can use to try later.
