Sasha Trusova, anyone?

Why do people keep posting this? It's not. It's a diminutive for Alexander AND Alexandra. It's unisex. I've met multiple Russian women with the name.

Don't like the surnames as a rule, but the rest of your boy names are okay. I wouldn't do Evelyn or Emma but if you don't mind super popular names all three of your girl names are fine.

Bennett is actually a medieval form of Benedict.

I like that! So much better than Beckett and Bentley, of which I know some. Gag.

OP you should throw out a girl name post with your last name (or similar) and have people help you with that from scratch.

I like Emma on your girls list!

Bennet, William, and Charles are all great too. Really like Bennet!

OP,

Most of the names in your list are not my style, but really, I have to say it’s a great list. Can’t go wrong (with possibly one exception).

If Sasha, I would name her Alexandra, nn Sasha. By that I mean, always call her Sasha, as a diminutive.

Fitzgerald, no. In my opinion. Unless it’s a family name. But even then, would you call him Fitz?

Congratulations on your new baby!

My teenager said about Fitzgerald “you know I am VERY VERY against bullying…….it would be hard”

I actually like Fitzgerald and I think it could work if you were really committed to it. Like if it's a family name and you love it and are just confident about it, it could work.

But if you feel unsure about it, maybe use it as a middle name, and then if the nn Fitz suits him, you can use it as a family name and maybe it sticks or maybe it doesn't, but it's always a part of his name.

Charles Fitzgerald
Bennett Fitzgerald
William Fitzgerald

They all work.

Like Adam and Evelyn.

Bennett is a surname.

Full disclosure here: I have a Charles and William (Charlie & Will) and would have had an Emma, but he turned out to be a Thomas! We call the youngest Tom.

Anyway, those are the boy names on your list that appeal to me. I also know one Arthur and two Bennetts.

Your girl names are wildly different from your boy names. Evelyn and Emma are really overdone these days. I don't like Sasha. (I'm also a Russian speaker and don't love the diminutive for women.) What about Caroline, Claire, or Elizabeth?

No to all your girls names and yes to all your boys names.

What happened there, OP? Your girls names are so overused and boring.

Sasha and Arthur

William or Sasha. Your other names are bad.

Anonymous wrote:Emma and Evelyn are way too overused for my taste. Sasha is Russian so don’t use it unless you’re Russian.

Boys names are all fine. I like Fitzgerald only if it’s a family name.

Seriously, try to branch out on the girl names.

This is funny. Sasha is the Russian nickname for Alexander. No Russian person would use it for a girl. Sasha as a girl’s name is about as American as apple pie.

I agree with your teenager.
