Full or Queen Bed?

We already have a twin with trundle which is being moved to her sibling’s room as the sibling is no longer in a crib. But we don’t want another twin - she has so many stuffed animals she sleeps with that are taking up too much space so we need something larger overall.

This is the dumbest possible argument for upgrading bed size.

My kids will likely be in twin beds until they go to college (and even then - my dorms only offered us xl twins?) because their room is so small. Get whatever size bed you want but there's no need to overthink it.

Queen, so they can more safely jump on the bed!

I slept in a twin through hs and managed fine. We had sleepovers and sleepovers were always on the floor in sleeping bags at my house and at friends. That said, our girls have fulls. Queens seem a bit over the top but I could see if you didn’t have a guest room and needed to kick your kid out when guests were staying or something.

I would only get a Queen if this is going to double as a guest room, otherwise get a full.

+1, and my husband and I sleep in a full size bed. Sometimes the extravagance of the people on this website still manages to surprise me.

WTF. I'm hoping you are a troll.

Twin beds for both of my kids. And they will have twin beds for until they purchase their own beds in their own homes.

There is no need for them to have a queen. Plus, their bedrooms aren't huge and the twin makes it easier for them to use floor space or have other furniture

Most of us don't. Twin beds till you are buying your own bed. Colleges, grad schools all have twin beds.

+1. Mattresses and sheets are expensive. They can buy their own bigger bed when they have a job.

What do you think I'm trolling about? My bed size? I can assure you it's a full.

If you do a full/double and they don't want to share with a friend, you can always use a blow up mattress for sleep overs. But if you want to use her room as a guest room, I'd go queen.

My kids also stuffs her twin with all kinds of stuffed animals, but I am not buying her a bigger bed to encourage the habit. She'll either move them when she wants more space, or she sleep cramped up! Her choice.

Yes! My DD also did the same until it became a problem.

So instead, we just 'picking our soft friends' as a part of our bedtime routine. She could pick 5 of them. And would rotate the through, or have crazy reasoning behind certain ones (like she'd pick the polar bear before a snow storm, etc)

+1

No desire to make the kids that comfortable at home!

When we moved and my older kids were teens, I got them full sized beds. Had twins previously but were due to replace anyways so went with full.

I wanted more floorspace, which is why I chose the full.

We went with queens in our two twins' rooms so that if we had more company than could fit in our guest room we could put the two of them together and offer a guest a queen. Two adults definitely don't want to sleep in a full (not sure what your other rooms are like and whether you host a lot).

My kids both have Queens. When they are teens they like to hang out on the bed. My kids did have the online school in or rather on bed. The ONLY thing I envy about Kim Kardashian is her gigantic bed! It’s like two kings!!!
