It was an attempt to fill the gap until the supply promised by APS can arrive. JFC. |
Ignore the APE trolls. They’re just pissed that, once again, they are revealed as the selfish a’holes who have not actually done anything tangible or productive to improve safety — the kind of stuff that keeps schools open. |
PP, I had this same question. I can go on the Home Depot website right now and order N95 masks for pick up at the 7 Corners store. They aren't that expensive-- certainly something a teacher can afford if they wanted to wear one. This seems like a lot of weird self-congratulating by SR but not solving a real problem. Isn't the issue community spread outside of APS? It would be nice if the Arlington Public Health department would release some lessons learned from their contact tracing efforts. |
Of course the bigger problem is COVID and community spread. Smart Restart's masks help teachers prevent spread. Maybe all the energy expended on criticizing Smart Restart could be redirected to focus on slowing the spread? What's your idea to protect the community? |
Does seem like a lot of APE butthurt on here. |
What is butthurt? |

You have been misinformed. |
When people talk about fit testing these, what are they saying? I used to be fit tested regularly for a NRB at a fire station and it told you if you were wearing the wrong size of mask (there aren't that many sizes, so it is rare someone tried to wear the wrong one) and -- maybe -- it helps you adjust how you're wearing your mask slightly. Also, if male, you shave. |
Yup, SR could have just donated to their own kids' schools but instead they are trying to help the entire county. Because you know, equity. What are you doing? Nothing other than criticizing the people fixing the problem. |
This is so crazy that there is a GoFundMe and there is no outrage from parents. It is such a reflection of the liberal mindset. They would much rather start a GoFundMe, post all over social media saying how great they are because they donated to it, then applauding each other for doing it, rather than push the school board to supply these products to the teachers and staff. The school board knows how to order and buy local to get these while they wait for their wholesale bulk order to arrive. And they have plenty of funding to do it. Say what you want about APE but at the very least those parents actually try and actively do something and they often get results. AEM just sits around saying APE sucks and starting GoFundMe accounts so they can applaud each other over and over. |
LOL. What exactly is APE doing? Throwing tantrums and misinterpreting data? |
