Games Will be rescheduled, they will make it work. There will be teams that can’t travel because of cases

There will be teams that get their flights cancelled as well.

Some dumb anti-vaxxer commercial pilot (there are plenty of them...they have to be vaxxed anyway but not boosted and he was not) just infected my relative on the crew so there are a few more crew unavailable this week. Great job captain.

Try re-reading what you wrote and reflect

Flights will be cancelled and then those players will be stuck home instead of out on the field. Not really hard to understand.

That's not what was written - so let's de-construct

1. Some dumb anti-Vaxxer pilot (who was vaccinated) got your smart vaccinate relative sick.

Start with that

You missed the point. The point is the flight cancellations.

The omicron surge reason for the cancellations because too many flights crews are infected is secondary. Crew members that won't get a booster are certainly not helping the situation as evidenced by my family member who was infected by a careless co-worker. So now...not only is that careless person pretty sick...so are all the others he infected. And more people are not available to keep the nation's flights operating.

This is an easy story to grasp. Not sure why you are struggling with it.

I didnt miss your point - I don't agree with it. First you called the pilot stupid and now you call The pilot careless.

So you're careless if you get infected and give it to someone else?

A vaccination does not stop the spread of the virus. A vaccination doesn't stop you from getting or spreading the virus.

A vaccination helps you once you get the virus.

So - vaccinated or non-vaccinated - you're still likely to get it and spread it.

The new variant and spreading like wildfire among a vaccinated population.

Food for thought.

Agreed. Unfortunately many people forgot how to use reasoning and logic when it comes to this issue.

Boosters reduce risk of Omicron household transmission

The odds that vaccinated people will catch the virus if a household member becomes infected are nearly three to four times higher with Omicron than with Delta, but booster doses reduce that risk, new findings suggest.

That according to article in Reuters on December 29, 2021.

So anonymous poster on DCUM or Reuters news......gee. Who should I believe?

I will have respect if I see that coach that my kid wants to play for, drop off that list for this particular event. It should not happen in the middle of this surge.

Come on coach..impress us! Thai is the not the time to have a big event.

Definitely not Reuters propaganda

If you are working in enclosed spaces with other people, have the respect to get a booster. We should not need mandates but people won't follow basic health guidance..bring em on.

If they really intend to have this event, at least ask that the attendees be vaxxed and boosted. This should be an urgent request to reduce the number of infections that are guaranteed to come out of this large gathering.

Obviously everyone with symptoms or positive rapid tests (all participants should use these) must stay away from this event.

Fine with me. I don’t really care one way or another. I just want the whining and check-seeking to stop. At least for a while. We know it’s never going to end with the pushovers we are all raising.

Vaccines don't stop the spread. Boosters don't stop the spread.

Boosters help people fight it AFTER getting it.

Understand?

THE VACCINE does not stop the spread.

Ok sure Dr. DCUM. ...... Wrong.

They do help to reduce transmission. Look it up. They do not prevent all transmission, they do help to reduce it.

No point in arguing about vaccines in this soccer thread.

It would be must better to delay this event until after this omicron wave has peaked and is on its way out instead of at the exact time it is surging. Not smart. I am curious to see what colleges do and do not travel to this event.

FCV has been invited as a honorary guest club. Looking forward to beating up on ecnl teams.

Perhaps many have noticed, the virus spreads with or without soccer tournaments.

Stop pointing fingers and trying to shame one another. The vaccinated and unvaccinated - the masked and unmasked - all spread the virus

The vast majority of people I know who were infected are vaccinated.
