Why do men use sugar dating sites

We’ve been analyzing why he’d seek these types of “girlfriends” and have concluded that he wants to call the shots and doesn’t want a real relationship. He’s a good looking, single dad of two tweens. His ex-wife is crazy (likely undiagnosed BPD), cheated on him constantly, abandoned their kids and I suspect this has turned him off any real relationship.

+1 they want companionship on their terms. They don’t want a real relationship or to treat a woman as an equal. They also want dates and going places in public, or a travel partner to bring along, so more than just BJ’s from a prostitute.

It seems incredibly sketchy and risky to me as a woman.

Seriously? You think the women doing this want a relationship? No they just want what they want from it. Get off your high horse. I have seen many marriages that look the same.

The question is why women do not do the same or do they? Lol

There are sugar mommas. Madonna anyone? People just don’t notice when women do it.

Have you been living under a rock?

Seriously. Men have been disgusting for thousands of years. Not news.

This is so dumb. Who do you think the men on those sites are dating. Robots?

Obviously. The money buys control. Control equals lack of vulnerability and uncertainty.

Many times the men simply want a woman to take out for dinner no sex required. They are lonely or simply tire of their wife’s BS. The agreements are more structured from what you might believe.

It’s mostly men paying for sex. A tale as old as time.

Just to go on record, it's not always prostitution. One could argue that marriage is a form of enslaved prostitution. Point being, there's nuance in everything.

Uh no one could not argue that lol. Sugar babies on the subreddit I shared earlier always make this argument to justify their trashy life choices. He married his wife, he pays you for sex. Y’all are not the same.

It's exactly the same for SAHWs. It only comes with an additional 8X4 paper that makes it harder to leave - wife of 20 years so far here. OK, maybe the wife also buys toilet paper and dove liquid soap for the household, I give you that. Obviously, this makes the wife morally superior.

How much time you got?

1) their wives stop banging them. Men need sex. End of story. You put their libido in prison and that’s what happens.
2) men are visual.
3) men want to bang a hot willing chick.
4) these women probably aren’t harpies and are easy to talk to, even if it’s all a facade for money.

Basically, how is difficult for you to comprehend this situation? Men with money, since the dawn of time, have had Geishas, concubines, mistresses, second wives and the like. Women generally get older and lose interest in sex before their husbands. You expect a man to not get laid for 30 years? It’s not gross. This sugar baby thing is all a matter of perspective. Stop being so prudish and close minded.

Seems reasonable.

No it’s not exactly the same. SAHW can turn down sex on particular occasions while still staying in the contract. A sugar baby probably can’t keep getting sugar without putting out.

So a wife is a sugar baby with sick leave. Limited of course, this is a marriage, not working at Netflix where one gets unlimited PTO.

Sugar daddy here. $50k is way out of the norm. It's a lot lower than that if you find girls who aren't pros.

Most of the ones I've been with are women in their mid-20s, out of college, and looking for an older man and some excitement. The money is nice but not their main goal.

Hahahahaha!! Money is DEFINITELY the goal. You think they 20 something just wants to spend time with you?! If money wasn’t the goal, she would just match with guys her dad’s age on the apps.

DP, it's about the experiences that an older, more established guy can curate and provide for them. Those do require money to a certain extent, but it's not exclusively cold hard cash. It's status, access, experience and know how.

This. I'll give an example of one I met a few weeks ago. I was in a mid-size midwestern city on business. The one I met was 25, college graduate, and working a boring office-type job. She said she tried dating guys her age but they were all weird and/or broke. I'm 45, have all my hair and no grey, fit, dress well, and I've traveled and lived around the world. To her, that's interesting. To me, she's pretty, wild in bed, and it's fun to go out with her and talk to her -- reminds me of my youth I guess.

I mentioned to her when I was with her that she could join me on future trips. She texted me this week asking about exactly that, and I'll be meeting her next month. I'll do my meetings during the day while she checks out the city, then we can go out at night and check out some nice local restaurants and cocktail bars. She gets to see a new city, I get to have a great dinner companion.

She's never once brought up money, but I give it to her without her asking, and of course pay for all meals, travel, etc.

So to be clear, these men who are sugar daddies married? I assume the wives know nothing about the financial or sexual cheating?
