Discussed by who? DCUM?

Under state law we won’t see entire districts like these close.

This IS DCUM

PPL Here just make up whatever shit to suit their own narrative

I agree and I’m one of those crazy open-uppers.

Same.

Looks like the Smart Restart fear porn lovers have hit this thread again.

The chances of school closing again are 0. There's a state law in place that prevents that except in very, very limited circumstances (and just 1 building). After PGC's closure, SB1303 is going to get made permanent in a few months.

COVID will be here forever and everyone is getting COVID. Everyone. And the vast majority of Americans have moved on. The way a few lunatics are acting here (who unfortunately work in government and media) is so strange to much of the country.

There will be new variants for the unforeseeable future. The fact some people think they can "control the spread" or "avoid getting COVID by religiously wearing a mask" is hilarious for a highly transmissible respiratory virus everyone will get.

Return to living normal. Much of the country is and your community already has been for a while, and more and more people are joining Team Reality every day. We've got Xmas party this weekend indoors with other family, dinner indoors later this week, then vacation over break - think of that with 60%+ of the country, then think of some people saying "control the spread".

The reason teachers in APS are struggling right now is they refused to come to school last year vaccinated. Had they just returned after vaccinations, wow! what suffering they could have saved themselves.

I am betting schools that went virtual in our area did so for staffing shortage but omnicrom have them a good cover.

Where did this come from? You made this comment and not one teacher had been on this thread calling for or wondering about switching to virtual. I’m an ES teacher. Through yesterday our school had been doing quite well. I see no reason to switch. I don’t want to switch. No colleague I know wants to do that.

My spouse teaches in APS and my DD teaches in ACPS and between the two of them they know not one teacher who wants to go virtual again. My DD got teary just talking about it last night.

People like the PP above can f*ck off.

Yes, and that describes pretty much every teacher I know. The “Didn’t teachers learn anything last year” comment by the PP is out of line.

I think society are realizing tracking cases and keeping asymptotic kids out is NOT OKAY.

No one wants virtual again. Not after vaccines! Not teachers. Not APS. Only the crazy lady behind ArlStar on Twitter.

Agree based on what I’ve seen. Most of my friends who were pretty okay w last year are also done with all restrictions. Back to normal!

Doing virtual for the two weeks after break is not closing.

So sorry your Christmas travel will be sidelined by covid or do you not care and will go anyway when you get it since we “are all going to get covid anyway”?

Test when? Monday? For people just getting back Sunday, that’s worthless. Wednesday? When? With what test? You know we as a country are going to run out of tests right?

It’s also not in-person, which the law requires.

Go back in your hole, troll!
Everything about this post is inaccurate. It would appear that YOU are the one who learned nothing last year.
