Are parents okay with this?

This is the problem. Centers are understaffed as it is, and can only hire people with certain credentials, so they can’t afford to lose any more staff. If even one more person quits, they will have to close a room and stop providing care to those kids.

My center isn’t requiring, but luckily every teacher chose to get vaccinated. I don’t know about boosters, though.

Same situation for us, and I agree it’s a tough call for daycares to make. For my occasional gripes about Covid overreaction in this area, I am thankful most adults did their job and got the vaccine.
