Where to take DD's ear pierced?

Anonymous
We did my DD's first at the pediatrician and the 2nd and Craig Pokes U. The recovery was so much better from the piercing studio. I wish I had known about it for her first set. The price depends upon the earring chosen. They are very helpful and would answer any of your questions if you called them. There is a minimum, but I forget what it was. I wish my stupid not-at-all-even earring holes were done by a professional.

Doesn’t Clairs and Walmart use alcohol too? How hard can this be??

I got my ears pierced at Claire’s 35 years ago. It was fine, but the holes are not even and they don’t point in the right direction.

When my daughters want to get theirs done, we’ll go to a professional. No question.

Bumping because I"m wondering this too. Wondering how much you paid for small old studs with a new piercing. My holes are long closed and I want to get them re-pierced and my son wants his done too. This place seems highly recommended here so I'm just wondering ball park cost. We both would get 14k gold studs.

Craig Pokes U is great. We went there and they can do two ears at once!

Re Craigs the earrings they sell are overpriced in my opinion. Piercing cost was reasonable although I don’t remember the amount. For me, worth it to have a professional.

I think we paid $175 this December. There were cheaper studs, but my daughter wanted blue Swarovski crystal ones that were a bit pricier. They did both ears simultaneously and they are even and healed quickly and easily. It also included follow ups to check on the healing. I had mine done 30 years ago by a NP with a gun and had infection after infection.

Another vote for Craig Pokes U

If you are near Arlington, Craig Pokes U is excellent.

I took my dd to piercing pagoda and it was about $60 give or take. A proper place was way more expensive. Why so snobbish? It worked and my dd didn't get an infection.

Some of us appear to be more concerned with proper placement and hygiene than you are, glad it worked out for you, though.

DD is 12. She wants some hoop earrings, but I guess she will first need a little dot one no?

Fatty's in Dupont is a great place for this. And yeah, she won't be allowed to get hoops to start with.

Craig Pokes U is the gold standard. I know people who brought their kids there from Bethesda.

$70+ the cost of earrings (probably another $70)
