+1. And obviously OP isn’t creating this thread because it’s an isolated example. The people who do this spam the fake nonsense constantly to build up this entirely bogus image of themselves and their family.

You know it's fake. You know they know it's fake. Do you really not understand why some people present fake happy lives on social media, or is it that you have feelings (disappointment, betrayal, whatever) about your sister doing it?

My sister hates my mother and says nasty things about her to all of her friends, but is completely fake to her face. My mom has no idea and fawns all over her. Hard for my other sister and me to watch.

Of course it hard to watch, because it’s all essentially lying. The people on here saying it’s self preservation probably wouldn’t say the same about someone lying, but that’s really what it is.
