Are there any travel clubs in the DMV that do not have parent involvement?

Higher level teams (ecnl, ga) do not have team managers

This is to reduce the perceived perception of preferential treatment as well as reduce the ability of one parent knowing many details of other families.

100 % correct. It’s a good thing.

It's an environment we actually sought out after my kids' frustration with the excessive butt kissing.

It was worth every cent!!

Yes, it’s called PE.

DC Soccer (fka Stoddert) does have parent TM's, but no one actually wants to do it, and parents, for my kid's age at least, are pretty chill.

Following up on 18:44, while I am the first to complain about parents on the sidelines and wish no one was allowed to make a sound, I have nothing but positive feelings about my kids' team managers. They volunteer their time for all of us and don't seem to get anything out of it. I am thinking back to all the TMs my three kids have had over the years... off the top of my head I can only think of a couple kids who played more than average but they were legitimately among the team's strongest players. Plenty of other kids were average or non-starters. It never crossed my mind that their kids were getting special treatment... I don't get what the issue is. I am always grateful when someone else is willing to do the work!

Thank you. Believe me, worse than team managers are parents who kiss up and do none of the administrative work and bill collection that a lot of TMs must do. There are weeks where administrative tasks have consumed 10-15 hours of time. Believe me, I have watched plenty of parents free ride and treat TMs as employees while sucking up to coaches. The coaches and clubs just need to send a strong message to everybody, including TMs, that lobbying is not useful.
