I've offered to be backup for our neighbors, a coworker, and our friends. People understand that you may need someone else to call at 2am, even if they're just the temporary person until your preferred person arrives. Start thinking bigger. And prioritize people your kid knows and people you really trust!

Yep! I've slept on friends and neighbors couches when they were in labor.

My kid pretty much doesn't know anyone other than our nanny because of COVID. She is in preschool part-time but that's only 10 families and its only been 2 months so its not like I know those folks very well. Most of the parents events are during the day and I work (pre school has a lot of SAHMs and moms who work part time).
