Sorry, I've lived in Columbia Heights for 10 years so I'm very accustomed to panhandling. So spit it out already: What, exactly, is "aggressive" panhandling? Someone who asks you twice instead of once?

No, I'm pretty sure that kid is awaiting his fate because he travelled across state lines with an illegal firearm with the sole intent of shooting black people and just happened to get lucky an activist judge disallowed any of that important context.

There was a lot of aggressive panhandling in DuPont circle late 80s early 90s. Men in their 20s asking for (demanding) $. It was quite the gauntlet to walk down or up Conn ave.

This. We are experiencing a return to DC's period of decline. Panhandlers who follow you or invade your personal space are not new here, but they have certainly become emboldened recently .

If you lived in DC in the 80's and 90's, aggressive panhandling was very much a thing. Actually, it wasn't aggressive - it was outright threats. Eventually, the police clamped down on them.

and just a reminder to all the neighbors - it was not quite 2 years ago when one of the neighborhood homeless individuals died overnight in the cold temps in the bus shelter in front of the target.

You're responding to me. I've lived centrally in several of the world's greatest cities. DC is the smallest, crappiest city I've ever lived in. You are actually the one who doesn't understand that cities don't have to suck and antisocial behavior doesn't need to be celebrated.
